Completed VDOE licensure renewal requirements five times since initial licensure. Licensure renewal entails dyslexia, training, child abuse training, First Aid, CPR & AED Certification, and earning 180 renewal points, and a complete application. With a change from 5-year to 10-year renewal, my next renewal will be 2029.
AYP School Division Improvement Reading Coach, Rockingham County Public Schools: 2004-2005
Hired Nov-Feb of 2004, reviewed students’ 504 and IEP plans for one elementary and one middle school, observed these students in class to ensure needs were being met. Hired again Sept – Dec 2005 to work with one elementary school and one 8th-grade English department, shared curriculum, observed classes, met with individual teachers and department as a whole, attended a day-long professional development training on use of Interactive Notebooks.

Based on the Action Research Project results from my Master of Arts in Education, I was hired to read and recommend young adult novels using the RCPS Bookfinders program, especially YA novels with strong female protagonists.
